St. Peter Celestine has begun telephoning its older, often homebound parishioners to ask if they would like to receive weekly communion from our Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist. The response has been overwhelming. We now have

four full teams and are hoping to establish a fifth. In particular, we have had several requests for mid-week visits and Communion. And, we have proposed a Wednesday afternoon team.
      If you are already an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist and would like to expand your commitment within the ministry to visiting parishioners by bringing communion to them once a month on Wednesday, please let us know.
      There are five Eucharistic Ministers on each team. One member of each team visits two to three parishioners each week. Each person has an assigned week of the month and visits on that one day per month. The fifth team member is a “substitute” for that team and for the occasional “fifth weeks” when they occur.

Children's Liturgy of the Word is an interactive expereince for children to hear the Sunday readings in a language appropriate for their age, has become very popular with our families. Who hasn't witnessed the exodus of children when Father dismisses them to the Ministry Center with their adult chatechists to listen to God's Word?

Children's Liturgy of the Word was introduced to the 11AM Mass this Fall and as it has grown we find that we are in need of more adults to assist with this ministry.
